New BioChem agrar corporate campus

14.12.2021 - Our new, modern laboratory building on the BioChem agrar site in Gerichshain was completed just in time for our company’s 30th anniversary.

The steady growth of our company in recent years, with increasing numbers of employees and the trust placed by our clients in our work, had necessitated the largest structural expansion in our company history. A multi-purpose building and state-of-the-art greenhouse were put into operation in 2018 on around 1.5 hectares of commercial space, in addition to the existing central building, which has been in operation since 2001. This was followed by the completion of a new, cutting-edge laboratory building with 2,370 square metres of net floor space for laboratories, climatic chambers and offices.

With the commissioning of the key component of this new building complex, our analytics and ecotoxicology divisions have optimum working conditions and sufficient spatial capacity for future growth. This ensures that we will be able to meet the high standards of quality and reliability required both by our customers and ourselves even more effectively in future.

Special thanks go to the architects Beyer&Lätzsch from Grimma for the project planning and its expert implementation, to the over 50 construction companies involved in the work (the majority local firms), to the Volks- und Raiffeisenbank Muldental eG and the DZ Bank AG (Mittelstand Ost, Leipzig), to the state funding programmes of the Development Bank of Saxony (SAB) and the investment and development bank KfW and, last but not least, to our shareholder Dr Lysan Massmann for her foresight and constant support in all phases of construction.
