Soils are very complex systems with various physical and chemical properties.
Different origins and properties of soils are required for a large variety
of ecotoxicological studies and for studies according to the Toxic Substances Control Act.
In order to characterise the soils, standardised methods of pedology
as well as physical and chemical test methods are applied.

In our Soil / Chemistry Division, we can determine the following soil parameters
under GLP conditions:

•  dry matter
•  bulk density
•  particle size distribution (sieve and settling analysis)
•  microbial biomass, Kjeldahl-N
•  water holding capacity
•  cation exchange capacity
•  pF-value
•  pH-value
•  elementary analysis (C, S)

…further parameters are available upon request
